It is the people who live among their vines who inspire me ; they talk about their wine as if it was a human being - the baby in the barrel, the young lady just bottled, the veteran who lies deep down in the dark, damp cellar - ;
this wine which is their daily companion and carefully shaped by their own hands season after season, fascinates me….
this ever-changing living thing that is wine, which evolves as does the history of men and women and improves with age, in the same way as those beautiful Bordeaux buildings carved out of limestone bear the traces of forgotten eras…
Anecdotes, ’savoir-faire’, deception and enthusiasm can all be shared over a glass of wine, among vine-tamers or miracle-workers and curious
amateurs from the four corners of the earth…..
I like stories, encounters, humor and shared experiences, with wine as the festive rallying point - wine which loosens tongues, inspires creativity in painters and writers, incites roars of laughter or imposes the religious silence of respect……
WINE is a story all to itself which we love to tell.
